Disgraceful Shepherds

The Imprecatory

Help me Lord for I am grieved and outraged with the ungodliness in our pulpits today. We have men and women in pulpits which have no right to be there. There are those that are immoral. Others are masquerading as shepherds when all they want to do is promote their own social justice or political agenda. They have no desire to teach and preach the true gospel.

Shame on them.

Then there others who are racists, and promoting the LGBQTIA agenda, and the murdering of babies in the womb and have the audacity to call it healthcare!

I am sick of these people to be honest and I know that you are too. But I hear your word telling me to pray for my enemies, take the high road. This I do often, but sometimes through gritted teeth. 

Lord you know that I am angry for your sake alone.

Is it wrong Lord to have vitriol for these people when they blaspheme your Holy name?

I often wonder how much of this can you take dear Jesus?!

God' s Peace

 Dear Lord I want to thank you for your peace! It passes all logic and to the world it does not make sense. Your word has taught me that your peace does not mean the absence of pain and suffering for we still live in a world dominated by sin so trouble is power for the course - for now.

Your peace is inward. Your peace is actual rest for my soul. It is fresh cool living water for my mind. When I meditate upon it, it takes away fear and anxiety. Lord continue to train me to meditate on your promises so that I keep my sanity for it so easy to get distracted by the cares of this world.

Your peace is salvation Lord. Because of it I am free. I am more than a conqueror. I am victorious, Hallelujah! David declared "surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life." I too claim those promises for I am a son of the King  just as he is.

Peace In The Midst of Chaos

 Gracious Lord,

Its near the end of 2025 and the world is indeed getting worse everyday. I feel like you Lord when you said to the disciples, "faithless and perverted generation! How long must I put up with you?" Even those who claim to know you have compromised your great gospel by blurring the lines, and bringing this evil culture into the Church. They have absolutely no desire to preach the truth; but rather are teaching live your best now, name it and claim it nonsense, victimization, and reparations in Churches that have black preachers and parishioners. 

I'm grieved by what I see and hear, and at the same time excited because I know the end is near and your return is imminent. For in that I rejoice. Because I know and endeavor to live your truth in thought and deed, I am encouraged to know that where man is hopelessly weak an unable to bring peace, you being the Prince of Peace will make all things new at the end of time.

Thank you Jesus for you said, My peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world as the gives do I give unto you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27).

Even so, come Lord Jesus come!

Renewal of the Mind

Dear Jesus,

The word of God tells me to be not conformed to this world system, but transformed by the renewing of  my mind that I may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12: 2). Lord help me win the battle of my mind! We're so inundated with so many despicable images that it's hard to keep our mind stayed on you.

Compel me to hone in on your word so that I build a garrison around my mind; that your word will become and impenetrable fortress so that I will not allow the enemy to get in and wreak havoc and assault my mind with evil thoughts. Evil thoughts turn into wicked behavior which can destroy us.

Your word also says that we're to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

I thank you Lord that I'm not alone in dealing with the war of mind!

We need Revival

Heavenly Father,

We all lose our way from time to time. But if we keep our mind stayed on thee, we can have perfect peace in the midst of our storms. Often times we can not handle our trials because of a lack of a fresh quenching thirst of your precious word. We forget how the word is our only soul food source and we must feed on it for survival.

Lord I believe we need a revival of the true gospel; we need an accurate exposition of your truth so that we can we receive our marching orders again that we have ignored. We need the truth spoken in love so that we're not listening to those who simply want to tickle our ears and make us feel good, but our unwilling to offend us for the gospel's sake.

We're too comfortable in our salvation; we need to stir up the gifts that are in us and proclaim to our young people and our centers of influence. I know that most do not want to hear what we have to say because they love their sin, but we must obey you Lord above all.

Keep us mindful of the fact that we're evangelists; we're seed planters!

We need your word fresh and anew.

Prayer For Purity

Precious Lord,

First of all please forgive me of my sin. Your word says, If I confess my sins, you are faithful and just to forgive of my sins, and to cleanse me of all unrighteousness (I john 1:9). I thank you Lord that your word is true.

Lord I'm grieved in my spirit because those who claim to know you are living like they're not saved. They're living ungodly, serving their lustful desires. We can't be effective witnesses for you if we're living like the devil's children. SHAME ON US!!

Lord give them the true revelation of themselves. Help us recognize that sin is deadly and that you hate it! Help us not to wink at sin, but to confess, and forsake it; realizing that if we're born again, slave is no longer our master, but the Lord Jesus Christ is.

You commanded us to be holy for you are holy (Leviticus 19:2; I Peter 1:16). That means we're to live lives of sanctification for your glory. Help us to disdain gossiping, fornication, adultery, malice, revenge, and the like.

Let us pursue holiness and call her my sister!

Bearing Fruit

To the Kings of Kings and Lord of Lords,

The scripture tell us that For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them Eph 2:10 (ASV).

Lord I know that as a believer, I'm required to be fruitful for Galatians 5 says for the fruit of the Spirit is  love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. Gal 5:22-23 (ASV).

Being fruitful or performing good deeds is a natural by product of the Christian's life. Not to bear fruit is evidence of a dead faith and false conversion.

Jesus you said in Matthew 7, Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Matt 7:17-20 (ASV)

Help us as believers constantly examine our lives to see if we're being fruitful in the kingdom of God; serving you and one another.
